Adam Simon, Global Managing Director, CONTEXT

Adam joined CONTEXT in February 2013 to develop the company's research coverage of ICT and technology, working with the industry to achieve new & measurable business outcomes. Recently he has pioneered research into the opportunities for retailers selling technology to small businesses ('R2B') and has formed a pan-European Smart Home Research Group including Smart Home Associations, retailers and manufacturers. He is leading research into Omnichannel best practices in EMEA and regularly brings together industry roundtables on this and other technology issues. Meagher was formerly the SVP BD at ROC Connect and VP & GM of Lowe’s Smart Home initiative, Iris. At Lowe’s, one of the world’s largest home improvement retailers, he led the deployment of their smart home products and services through all their retail stores in the US.  Kevin was also founder and CEO of Intamac Systems, a UK company offering a Cloud platform deploying smart home solutions to the mass consumer market.  Meagher has been recognized as a global pioneer and thought leader in the smart home and IoT.  He has deployed smart home solutions with major service providers, utilities, retailers, and security companies around the world. Additionally, he is the recipient of numerous awards including Ruban d’Honneur as European Entrepreneur of the Year, and his company won the European Best Business Innovation Award. He has 3 patents. He has also served as a Group Captain in the Royal Air Force. Meagher is a Chartered Engineer in Aeronautics and holds an MBA.


James Storie-Pugh, Director European Strategy, Newegg Global Marketplace

James Storie-Pugh is Director and part of the founding team of Pivot – a technology company building a suite of eCommerce Business Growth Tools for Marketplaces and Marketplace Merchants based in London. Pivot/Muloot offers a suite of services which range from international office representation to trade finance products, product sourcing and business set-up operations. From 2013, he headed up the European B2C expansion of Global Brand’s Group, a sister company of Li&Fung. From 2009, he co-founded, a cross-border eCommerce agency helping US multi-nationals set-up their LatAm online operations. His clients included Colgate Palmolive, L’Oreal, and Pepsi. In 2006, he set-up the UK online operations for Vente-Privee.com the first online French unicorn retailer. Prior to this, Storie-Pugh headed up the Microsoft Xbox direct global marketing account team for Experian pioneering the segmentation and communication strategy with their international client base.
