mitipi launches Kevin, the smart device that’s always home

Presence simulation with sound, lights and shadow effects to deter burglars

Swiss start-up mitipi are heading to DISTREE EMEA 2019 to introduce delegates to their smart device, Kevin. Motivated by the impact on victims of burglary, the mitipi team took it on themselves to inspire a world where burglaries are a thing of the past.

Unlike a lot of smart security solutions and devices available on the market, Kevin simulates an actual person moving around the house doing day-to-day tasks. From the outside, it looks like someone is moving around the room or watching TV. When at the door, you will hear noises such as families talking or someone playing an instrument.
